Incentives
If you live in Maryland... Did you know that you are paying into a fund called EmPower Maryland? Look at the charges on your utilities bill, there you will find this charge.
What does this mean? It means your utility provider participates in the program and is offering rebates on things like insulation. And it means you can qualify to get rebates starting at $250 up to a project cap of $7,500 or 75% of the project cost (as determined by performance based rebates.)
These rebates are for residential customers to improve the energy efficiency of eligible homes. Rebates are available for Energy Star clothes washers, dehumidifiers, refrigerators, freezers, LED light bulbs, HVAC systems, and building insulation. The Home Performance with Energy Star Incentive Program requires all equipment must meet program efficiency requirements and all necessary documentation must accompany upgrades.
